In 1990 I injured my thoracic spine so severely I could not walk upright for several years. I gave up my social work career and slowly learned to manage chronic pain with morphine and neurontin. In January 2004, I was diagnosed with congestive heart failure (CHF), mitral valve regurgitation, and neurological problems, which the doctors were unable to definitively diagnose. My symptoms included restless leg syndrome, severe shortness of breath, wildly fluctuating blood pressure, extreme heart palpitations, dizziness & passing out frequently. I'm 72 years old with congestive heart failure and diabetes. I started drinking goji juice in late October of 2005. Before goji I was spending most of my time on the couch because I didn't have the strength or the energy to do much else. My doctor told me that my blood was not producing something that it needs, so every week for about 5 months I had been going to the hospital for a blood infusion.
